Mining Mobile Phone Metadata

This problem set will give you the opportunity to download and analyze a small corpus of mobile phone metadata, in order to study the internal migration response to a major earthquake. The problem set relates loosely to several papers discussed in the class, and in particular to “Airtime Transfers and Mobile Communications: Evidence in the Aftermath of Natural Disasters”.  You can preview the assignment here.  When you are ready, head to gitHub (https://github.com/jblumenstock/bdd) and get started!
